3832936 - Rejecting training approval returns 'Reject action could not be completed' (COE0018) – SAP SuccessFactors Learning

• Error when rejecting a training approval request.
• Error message: "Reject action could not be completed."
• Error code: COE0018.
• Internal message: "Could not complete action of type HANDLE_CARD_ACTION in section undefined."
• HTTP 400 from OData endpoint: "/rest/experience/learning/v1/Proxy/learning/odatav4/integrated/Delivery.svc/v2/UserApprovals(user’s id)/Delivery.svc.reject".
• In some cases, message shown: "This request has just been approved by someone else. Refresh the page for an updated list of approvals."

• SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. As a learner, register for a class that requires manager approval.
2. As the manager, open the approval request (either via the home page approval card or the Learning pending approvals page).
3. Select Reject (with or without comments).
4. Observe the error: "Reject action could not be completed" (COE0018) and related 400 response.

The email notification template ApprovalProcessRequestDenied was configured with token set ID ENROLLMENT. This configuration is not supported because the template is used for all approval types and cannot be converted using ENROLLMENT tokens. The supported default token set for this template is BUSINESS_PROCESS.

1. Locate the email notification template used for denial of approval requests (ApprovalProcessRequestDenied) in Learning Administration.
2. Edit the template and change the token set ID from ENROLLMENT back to BUSINESS_PROCESS.
3. Save the changes.
4. Test by initiating a new approval request and performing a reject action from the approvals card and the pending approvals page to confirm the error no longer occurs.
