SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. In Learning Administration, go to the target library, open Items, and select Add Items (+).
2. Set filters: Source = LinkedInLearning; Item Title → Does Not Contain → *.
3. Observe that the result set includes all Open Content Network (OCN) courses, including courses without a title, instead of returning only courses with a title.
4. Note: Applying the same title filter on the Content → Open Content Network screen may appear to behave differently.

• Expected behavior: the asterisk (*) in “Does not contain” is treated as a literal character, not a wildcard. The filter excludes items whose title literally contains “*”; it does not filter for empty titles.
• OCN items without localized titles have no records in the pa_ocn_course_i18n table. When any title filter is applied, those items may not be included in the search results on certain screens because they are not part of the title-indexed set, not because they are filtered out.

3. 2. Test with other special characters (for example: ~, !, &, $) to confirm consistent behavior.
4. If you need to align Item search behavior with the OCN screen behavior, adjust Search configuration:
5. 1. Go to Learning Administration → System Administration → Configuration → System Configuration → Search.
6. 2. In the selector > component section, set:

• criteria.componentTitle.isNullFilter=null
• criteria.componentTitle.isNotNullFilter=null
