3833243 - "No alternative unit of measure found: List found but no data" Error During Post-Upgrade Test Execution

During the execution of the standard post-upgrade test for Core Inventory Management, the test plan finishes with error status.

When checking the logs for the execution, a step fails with the error message:

"No alternative unit of measure found: List found but no data"

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Test Your Processes app.
2. Switch to the Post-Upgrade Tests tab.
3. Search for and open the relevant post-upgrade test plan.
4. Click on the Logs option.
5. Open the most recent execution from the list.
6. The system shows the test processes, as well as the steps and actions performed. By expanding the nodes with error, it is possible to see the error message in the Reason column.

The post-upgrade test utilizes a standard Test Data Container, which has the values used during the test process.

In this scenario, the test process step tries to select a unit of measure, however the unit is not available in the search.

A possible approach to solve this issue is to modify the standard Test Data Container used in the test plan.

It is possible to modify the Test Data Container of the test process so it uses a unit of measure that is available.

To perform this change, please follow the below steps:

1. Open the Test Your Processes app.
2. Switch to the Post-Upgrade Tests tab.
3. Search for and open the relevant post-upgrade test plan.
4. Click on the TDCs option.
5. Click on the test data container name. This will open the Test Data Containers app.
6. Select the variant in the Variant Information section .
7. Click on the Edit button.
8. The system will display the list of values used in the post-upgrade test. Here, update the value for the Unit of Measure.
9. Click on the Save button.

After either of these approaches, the post-upgrade test can be re-executed.
