3833619 - BAdI HCM_CATS_V1_B_TS_VALIDATION not called in Manage Timesheet (F1823A); replacement missing — SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • The BAdI HCM_CATS_V1_B_TS_VALIDATION is not being called from the new app Manage Timesheet (F1823A).
  • Unable to find a replacement BAdI for the new app.
  • The new app is integrated with SAP SuccessFactors, but certain validations need to be performed in S/4HANA.

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Move from the app Manage My Timesheet (F1823) to the new app Manage Timesheet (F1823A).
  2. Implement logic in the BAdI HCM_CATS_V1_B_TS_VALIDATION.
  3. Observe that the BAdI is not called from the new app.

Cause

Missing functionality.

Resolution

The validation BAdI for new app Manage Timesheet is planned for delivery in 2608.3. Planned delivery dates are weekend of 7th - 8th November for Test systems and 14th - 15th November for Development / Production systems.

SAP Help documentation on this functionality will be available nearer the time.
