3547156 - Able to access Learning via Custom Tile using Proxy Now in Bizx

Symptom

  • When using the Proxy Now feature on the BizX Platform as an Admin, a custom tile on the home page provides a link for navigation to learning.
  • Using custom tile via Proxy Now allows navigation to Learning and the ability to start eLearning/Course.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the system -> navigate to Proxy Now -> Search for User you want to Proxy.
  2. Click on Custom Learning tile on the Bizx homepage.
  3. Able to access Learning via BizX Proxy feature.
  4. The proxy user can start/Launch Content/continue the online training/Course
  5. The online course will start.

Note: Above behavior cannot be reproduced when Proxying users in LMS via LMS->People-> Users-> Launch Proxy.

Cause

The issue is caused by a known gap in the proxy behaviors between the Proxy Now feature on the BizX Platform and the Launch Proxy in LMS.

Resolution

As a workaround BizX Proxy feature can be disabled as a whole.

  1. Navigate to Provisioning.
  2. Go to Authorized SP Assertion Consumer Service Settings.
  3. Next to Learning Assertion URLs, select the Prevent Proxy User checkbox.
  4. Click the Save button.
  5. Admin won't be able to Proxy Users in BizX Platform, hence unable to access Learning via Proxy Now.
