3627307 - Error 'The Model could not be copied' while copying the model in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• When a user copies many resources at once it can fail due to a timeout. 
• When a user copies a model that contains many millions of rows of data this will fail.

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Login to SAC
2. Go to 'My Files' > 'Public'
3. Select Model
4. Try to copy a model

Notice the error message. 

Error: The Model could not be copied.

The model contains larger amount facts in a single version with data. 

Kindly submit an enhancement request to request this feature as per - 2424376 - How do you create an enhancement request and provide feedback for SAP Analytics Cloud?

Please use following workaround:

Copy such huge models without including data (unset checkbox "include data" in the copy dialog). Afterwards you should use your data import jobs on the copied model to load in data. If you unset "include data", the master data is still copied and only the fact data is skipped.
