3700241 - There are duplicate records with the same value for the following fields: Country/Region - Employee Central

Symptom

When rehiring a user via Manage Pending Hires or Add New Employee, there is an error: "There are duplicate records with the same value for the following fields: Country/Region. Compare them and remove the one you don’t need."

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Submit the rehire for a user;
  2. Encounter the error message: "There are duplicate records with the same value for the following fields: Country/Region. Compare them and remove the one you don’t need."

Cause

Duplication of records for the dependent's global information.

Resolution

  1. Check for duplicated records in Dependents Global Information;
  2. See there are more then one record showing with the same data;
  3. Find Dependent's ID 3277779 - How to Find Dependent Person Id or Related Person Id External  or 3559809 - How to retrieve Dependents Information via Integration Center - Employee Central
  4. Import the global information for the dependent as per the guidelines Importing Additional Information for Dependents;
  5. Once the duplicate records are purged, proceed with the rehire process.
