Widget Resizing Changes Not Reflected in Existing Bookmarks of a Story in SAC

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.21.11

1. Login to SAC
2. Open a story in view mode
3. Navigate to Bookmarks and select Bookmark Current State. 
4. Provide a name, e.g., "Test," and check 'Public' if you want to create a global bookmark.  
5. Open the story in edit mode
6. Change the position or resize any widget.
7. Save the story
8. Open the story in view mode 
9. Navigate to Bookmarks and open Saved Bookmarks, e.g., "Test."

Notice : The widget remains in its initial position and does not reflect the updated position in the bookmark "Test"

This is by design behavior of the product.

• Bookmarks save a view of a story, reflecting changes made by drilling, applying filters, sorting, ranking, or other customizations that do not permanently alter the default version of the story. 
• When users apply a bookmark, the bookmarked widgets replace the original story widgets.  
• The replacement occurs "by widgets," meaning bookmark application checks each widget for replacement. Newly created pages/widgets, which are not captured in the bookmark content after its creation, are unaffected by bookmark application.
