Formatting discrepancy in Excel export for story publication in SAC

SAP Analytic Cloud 2025.21.11

1. Login to SAC
2. Navigate to files> Open story containing a table widget, in view mode
3. Selected File > Schedule Publication
4. Populate the necessary details such as Event Name, Start Date, Story View, File Name, etc. as per preference
5. Choose File type as .xlsx/.csv
6. Go to "File Settings" under "Distribution" and select the checkbox for "Include Formatting (converts numbers to strings)"
7. Select Create
8. Download the .xlsx/.csv file after the publication has completed successfully.

Notice: The data formatting in downloaded file does not match the data formatting in the story table  

By Design Behavior of the product.

• The publishing feature operates with the "All" scope and does not support the "Point of View" scope.  
• Using the "All" scope preserves only the model formatting.
