3746029 - Inconsistent Date Validation and Synchronization between Contingent Worker and Work Order Date Fields- 1H 2026

Symptom

  • After 1H 2026,Inconsistent Date Validation and Synchronization Between Contingent Worker and Work Order Date Fields.
  • Scenario 1: If a Contingent worker date fields like start date/end date is filled first and proceed till work order, notice it has synced correctly however, if you want to change the dates now, then system does not sync to work order start date/work order end date automatically and there is no validation message too.
  • Scenario 2:The Termination Date field in Contingent Worker Identity Information conflicts with the existing business rule for the Work Order Contract End Date. For example, a rule that restricts the Contract End Date from exceeding a defined period (e.g., X years from the Contract Start Date) and is configured as an onChange rule is not applied to the Termination Date field. As a result, error appears from the rule only upon reaching the Work Order section making the work order end date blank. After correcting the Termination Date, the Work Order End Date does not automatically synchronize, requiring manual re-entry.
  • Scenario 3: In order to fix the inconsistency caused by Scenario 2, If the Work Order End Date is updated first and the Termination Date is modified afterward, upon navigating to the Work Order section, the field remains highlighted with an error—even when both dates match—until the date is manually reselected.
  • Scenario 4: When Work Order dates are populated via a business rule, the system allows the record to be saved without enforcing validation, and no error message is triggered despite potential inconsistencies.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Add Contingent Worker page
  2. Fill in the details for example: start date: april 20 2026; termination date : april 01 2030 and other mandatory fields.
  3. Proceed till work order section, notice that start date is in sync with work order start date and termination date is in sync with work order end date.
  4. Now go back to termination date and change the date to jan 1st 2028 and proceed till work order section, notice that work order end date is still april 01 2030 , updated date is not synced to work order end date automatically and there is no validation message too for the mismatch.
  5. Result: data saved successfully
