Symptom
- When creating a route template with a specific visit type and copying it, changing the visit type in the header of the new template does not update the visit types of the items within the template.
- The issue occurs after saving and opening the new template following the header visit type change.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer core applications
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a Route Template with one visit type.
- Click Save and Open.
- Add items (either with the same visit type as the header or different).
- Click Save.
- Copy the template.
- In the new template, change the visit type in the header.
- Click Save and Open.
- Check the items in the new template and observe that their visit types remain as in the original template rather than matching the new header visit type.
Cause
After copying a route template, changing the header visit type does not automatically synchronize or update the visit type of the proposed Visits/Items within the template.
Resolution
This is Standard System Behavior
We recommend submitting an enhancement request through the SAP Customer Influence portal to request automatic synchronization of the header Visit Type with all item-level Visit Types when a Route Template is copied.
