3359419 - Mass Data Maintenance and Data Migration for Document Output Channels fails.

Symptom

When trying to update Document Output Channels, using Mass Data Maintenance/Migration, system throws the following error message

"Service Call Failed"

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

Go to Mass Data Maintenance work Center
Select Import Customers
Select attached CSV file
Select tab Document Output Channels and upload the file
Execute data import, you will see "Service Call failed"

Cause

The cause for this issue is, when you look at the output channel for the customer XYZ, you see that the output channel "Printer" already exists for the business document (Customer Invoice) in the template.

Resolution

This is standard system behavior.

Mass data maintenance does not work with multi-Channel.

If the issue occurs in Migration, with the Error "Business Feature 'Multiple Channels' is required for sheet 'Document Output Channels',
