Symptom
Required survey is not visible under the users "Required Learning" section despite the item being assigned to the user & the survey is marked as mandatory for completion.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Associate a survey to item & mark the survey as 'Required' for item completion.
- Assign the item to user. The item appears in the user's learning plan.
- Now complete the item for the user by record learning.
- The survey does not appear in "Required Learning" section.
Cause
The cause for the survey not showing in the "Required Learning" section is because the item is not assigned as 'Mandatory' (or) 'Required'.
Resolution
There are couple of scenarios to consider when the survey would show up in "Required Learning" section & when it doesn't, especially when same survey is associated with 2 items as mandatory.
Scenario 1:
- Item 1 is a required assignment
- Item 2 is a required assignment
- On completion of both items, 2 Survey cards(one for Item 1 & another for Item 2) with action 'Start Survey' would show up in 'Required Learning' section.
Scenario 2:
- Item 1 is an optional assignment
- Item 2 is a required assignment
- On completion of both items, 1 Survey card with action 'Start Survey' would appear in 'Important Learning' section & 1 Survey card with action 'Start Survey' would appear in 'Required Learning' section
Scenario 3:
- Item 1 is an optional assignment
- Item 2 is an optional assignment
- On completion of both items, 2 Survey cards(one for Item 1 and another for Item 2) with action 'Start Survey' would show up in 'Important Learning' section.
